I’m processing my emotions through art.

Themes

I draw a lot of inspiration from processing my own emotional journey, focusing on celebrating light, shadows, and colors.

RISE AND CelebratE

Making artwork is a process that affects my quality of life. I get to meander visually on abundance, harmony, isolation, and spiritual connection.

Everyday Wonder

My art tends to be autobiographical narrations of pivotal and quiet moments in my life, connecting me with fleeting presence, and an understanding of my feelings.

Nature and Spirit

I make a lot of self portraits examining my identification with nature. I depict symbols of spirituality, stamina, strength, nurturing, and levity through images of myself, trees and places.

Justice IS KEY

I explicitly use my art as a call to action and advocacy for community, with gratitude and some intensity. My values inform my expression.

My practice is deeply tied to my surroundings in New York,

and wherever I go, intertwined with my interests in social justice and mental health.

Artist statement

I respectfully acknowledge the Lenape and Haudenosaunee people and all traditional owners of the territories where I walk, live, and create. I pay my respects to all First Nations elders past, present, and emerging.

My work reveals a play between community and isolation, personal identity, and navigating feelings about where I belong.

My creative practice is an act of imagination and defiance, making autobiographical art as a process of healing and a as a mirror to our times.

My values weave into my work. As a grandchild of Nazi holocaust survivors and daughter of an immigrant, I remain in solidarity with people, and carry a deep moral responsibility to denounce fascism and genocide.

I’m passionate about human rights and social justice. I stand against the exterminations in Gaza, Congo, Sudan, and Yemen. I harmonize with resistance to oppression.

My practice is dedicated to:
