Created in the intense, covid-19 energy in New York City, during which many of us lost loved ones, this 2021 series of family portraits are all 11" x 14" works on paper.
This is a study on foundational family legacy. Rendered in black acrylic ink washes, loose figuration and layers of emotion express intergenerational impact, subtle imprints, and major shifts of shared history. It’s my perspective on the intimate inherited bonds that connect, shape, haunt, and elevate me.
